Andrew Garfield is an independent strategic corporate communications advisor with nearly two decades of experience in advising leading global companies and organisations in high profile and reputation critical situations including large scale M&A transactions, initial public offerings, crises including 2007-8 banking crises and their aftermath, litigation, investigations, shareholder activism, leadership change, NGO campaigns, as well as “steady state” issues management, profile raising and reputation programmes.
He was a partner for more than 15 years with Brunswick Group, a leading global communications consultancy, where he was a leading member of the global financial institutions group. He also represented numerous international clients as well as being responsible for key emerging markets including Russia, the former CIS and Israel. He left Brunswick in 2016 to set up his own firm, Garfield Advisory whose roster of clients include companies and individuals active in financial services, and financial technology (finTech), asset management, real estate, M&A advisory, equity research, and in the shipping, automotive, energy and media sectors.
A graduate of Oxford University, he enjoyed a successful career in journalism covering UK EU and international business affairs for a number of top tier publications before moving into communication consultancy. He speaks Russian, French, German and Hebrew.
